Received my See's Candy catalog yesterday. Christmas can't be too far away. Love their Lollypops.

Found in pocket
You know that old line about putting money in the pocket of your coats and jackets and then forget about it? What a nice surprise you'll find later. I have done this and I have been pleasantly surprised to find a few dollars here and there when I least expected it.
But today it was raining and I found a raincoat I hadn't worn in quite a while. Hey! Look what I found! Better than money! Chocolate! And three cents.

Bark Thins
I am a fan of BarkThins but did not know they had mint until recently when I found this bag in northern Illinois while on vacation. Very good.

Fudge - Not Chocolate!
I just spent the weekend up in Alma at the Highland Festival celebrating all things Scottish. Since I have Scottish ancestors I marched in the parade, met some nice people with the same last name as me and ate Scottish food. All in all I had a wonderful time.
And on the second day I discovered the tents where you could buy all things Scottish! I was off and running. Among other things I found various fudges with ingredients I've never thought to put in fudge like: whiskey and the ones pictured here. When I went up to the counter, grabbing the cookies on the way, I asked the man about the taste of the fudge.
"You Americans," he started out with a definite brogue, "all think that fudge is chocolate! It's not. When we say fudge we're talking . . ." Yes, apparently I blanked out when he said that fudge was not chocolate. I think the word was texture. Fudge refers to texture.
So . . . I have tried the Scottish fudge and it's very good (nice texture). Have not tried the Clotted Cream yet but I do know that I like clotted cream having had that before and he said this was smoother than the other.
I have discovered a candy bar with chocolate, ginger and orange that I love (made by Divine), the reason that I grabbed the ginger chocolate covered cookies. These were good also.

No-Cal Chocolate
This is what I get for wandering around a store. Had no intentions of buying buttons that day however, I couldn't just leave them there!
